Week 3

This is the last week of our short introductory course, and this week we’re talking about different ways to take cultivating self-compassion away from the meditation cushion and into your everyday life. This week’s meditations are customized: there is a specific one for hair pulling and for skin picking. Practice will be specific and more intense!

Assignment 1. Introspection

Include at least 1 act of self-compassion every day. You can include a self-care practice (other than meditation) or be mindful of suffering when it arises and do something intentionally to reduce it. 10% less suffering every day and you’re doing great!


Assignment 2. Meditation practice

Practice meditation twice a day.

Your first, morning practice, should be any of the meditations we used in the program so far, preferably one of the Week 2 practices. Your afternoon or evening practice should be one of the two practices recorded for this week:

1.      Skin & Self-Compassion

2.      Hair: Appreciation & Acceptance
